Ginger-Peach Cheesecake

    I have fond memories of watching my mom bake her New York-style Cherry Cheesecake when I was a kid. It was her signature dessert, and I couldn't wait until I had my own kitchen so I could try to make it myself. When I finally did, I started experimenting with the recipe, making small changes and creating new variations. It all started with that delicious Cherry Cheesecake, and I'm so grateful for the memories and the recipe.

    Charcuterie Board Suggestions

    Mediterranean Style Charcuterie Board aka Mezze Board:

    Charcuterie boards are a delightful way to present your cured meats, cheeses, and other delicacies. They are a popular way to serve appetizers at parties and other social gatherings. These boards are a great way to display your culinary skills and creativity. 


    Here are some options to consider when choosing a charcuterie board: Choose a board that is the right size for your needs. A board that is too small will not hold all of your food, and a board that is too large will be difficult to carry. Choose a board that is made of a durable material. A board that is made of a soft wood will not be as durable as a board that is made of a hard wood. Choose a board that has a finish that is easy to clean.  I create custom boards specifically for presentation, check out my Engraving Gallery for ideas.  I would love to make one for YOU!  


    Tips for presentation:    

    ARRANGE MEATS: Place meats on the board first, spacing them out; ARRANGE CHEESES: Place cheeses on the board next, spacing them out, near the meats; ADD SPREADS AND DIPS: Place in small bowls around the cheeses; PICKLED VEGETABLES: Arrange them in small bowls or directly on the board; CRACKERS: Arrange around the edges of the board; GARNISH: Fill in with fresh herbs, nuts, and fruits for color and variety.  


    These are all just suggestions.  Allow your imagination to, and your flavor preferences, determine how you arrange your boards.  Go wild, mix and match your favorites!
