Get ready to dive into the delicious world of custards and fruit curds! These creamy treats are dessert staples, each bringing its own unique flavor.
Custards are smooth and velvety, made from eggs, sugar, and milk or cream. Think rich crème brûlée, delicate flan, or silky pastry cream. They're super versatile and can be the star of any dessert. While fruit curds are tangy and vibrant, made by cooking fruit juice (like lemon or raspberry) with eggs, sugar, and butter. They're perfect for filling tarts, layering cakes, or just spreading on toast. Imagine the zing of lemon curd or the sweet-tart burst of raspberry curd. Both custards and fruit curds add a touch of elegance and a lot of flavor to your desserts. Whether you love the creamy richness of custard or the zesty punch of fruit curd, there's a recipe waiting for you.

This section contains menus with recipes that I've served at previous Thanksgivings and other menus I've prepared for hosting dinner parties. I used to host themed Thanksgivings and dinner parties quite often when I had a larger home. I live about 3000 miles from my family, so I would invite my friends who couldn't make it home or didn't want to go home to my Thanksgiving and dinner parties. To prepare for them, I would start cooking and freezing many of the items in the menu 2 months ahead of time and just thaw or reheat if necessary on the big day. It made life so much easier than trying to prepare everything all at once.
This is the first year that I incorporated Adagio teas into these recipes. I haven't tried all of the tea additions yet. However, i am familiar with how the tea will flavor the food as I have tried many of my recipes that have tea added and am confident it will be an enhancement. I hope you enjoy these menus; feel free to pick and choose the items that most intrigue you as they are extensive - I do buffet style dinners, and have a large buffet table to arrange all the items. I used to throw some awesome parties; I also had a really good helper. I'll have to do it again soon; it was tons of fun. Where, oh where, does one find a replacement kitchen helper?!
Making a homemade pie crust is not easy, for me! I often cheat and buy a prepared pie crust rather than attempt my own. A good, buttery, flaky crust is just awesome. If you have a recipe for a flaky pie crust, please share it with me.
